Position Title: Senior External Producer
Location: Bay Area
Description: Once in a lifetime opportunity! Our client is a household name not currently known for creating game products. They plan to grow themselves from a start-up into a major publisher / developer. How will they do this? By using their significant cash investment wisely and hiring quality people. As Senior Producer you will work with the third party developers/studios in the design and development of advanced console games. You will make sure they're on track and on schedule. You will ensure the general efficiency and smooth management of all projects, and take ultimate responsibility for their successful completion. Along with negotiating new products and reviewing existing ones, the Senior Producer also obtains funding and provides direction for new projects, and consults with console manufacturers regarding updates, training seminars, and the submission process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Ensure that the goals of the project-quality, timelines, budget, etc. are met.

* Establish the policies, goals, and values of the development team.

* Ensure that the entire team knows it highest priorities and due dates.

* Ensure that all contractual requirements are met in each milestone delivered to the client.

* Effectively use all resources for production and testing.

* Maintain forecasts of the project's budget; anticipate, identify, and resolve overruns.

* Constantly evaluate risks and potential obstacles.

* Interact with clients, as appropriate.

* Identify and track the responsibilities and dependencies of clients.

* Manage potential conflicts between internal and external expectations for the project.

* Oversee the creation and maintenance of all project-related documentation: milestones, schedules, contracts, design documents, specifications, etc.

* Work with the teams and Technical Writer to develop project specifications that define the scope of the project, requirements of the prototype, and deliverables of milestones.

* Help settle project-related conflicts and disputes.
