Position Title: Dir Online Community Relations
Location: East Coast
Description: Responsibilities:

Provide strategic direction to Online Community Relations teams to maintain best-in-class online community relations

Analyze, understand and prioritize the needs of each unique online community

Evaluate community feedback, usage data and experience to contribute to the ongoing design and vision of the games

Effectively communicate the status of top in-game issues to the rest of the development team, players, and management

Support the Company’s PR and Marketing efforts, responding to PR and Marketing requests, and reinforcing the core messages in the community

Present a consistent and positive image of the Company as a developer and publisher to the community

Oversee the process for gathering useful information from Beta, and incorporating it into our development process

Contribute to the vision for Company's Web presence and manage implementation and maintenance of all Franchise-specific web properties

Act as an official Company spokesperson to the online community

Direct and influence the focus of the online communities to stay within the core messages of the game. Set the tone for the communities through action and policy

Supervise staff, prioritize and assign projects and track departmental progress

Actively participate in the continued professional development of staff members

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager

Requirements:

A minimum of 7 years communications experience, preferably in building and managing online communities

A minimum of 4 years management experience with team(s) of at least 5 people

Experience managing remotely located staff

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Strong online interpersonal skills and experience

Deep personal experience in participating in online communities and communication media

A BA degree in Marketing/Public Relations or equivalent work experience

Proficiency with Windows applications such as MS Office and MS Project

Hands-on knowledge of Web Development processes and tools (HTML, Java, XML, Flash, BBS, IM, Web Publishing tools, etc.)
