Our client is a developer of high end games for PC / Console and recently
named to Fortune Magazine's "100 Fastest-Growing Companies".
As an FX Artist, you draw on strong artistic and technical skills to add
dramatic flair to environments, characters, cinematics, and more through the
creative use of effects. You will work closely with cinematic artists,
character animators, and sound designers to create dynamic effects that will
be played through a real-time, 3d game engine. You will also do pre-rendered
work and trailer creation.
To qualify you have at least two years of applicable industry experience
demonstrating a strong technical knowledge of how art works in games. You
have knowledge of at least one major 3D package (3DS MAX, Maya, Softimage)
with an emphasis on manipulating animation features. You have
post-production compositing and realtime fx experience. Dynamics, rigging,
and technical experience are a plus.
Sample Work Required: (online, CD, or VHS format). This can be a single
demo-reel or separate video files. Samples of traditional skills,
sketchbook, drawings, paintings, etc. All samples must be accompanied by a
description, with specific information on what you were responsible for,
what tools were used, etc..
