Game recruiter Melanie Cambron has seen and heard it all. For our December issue, we asked for her best interviewing "don'ts" based on true stories. Response to that Top 10 was interesting to say the least. Apparently we're just at the interviewing tip of the iceberg. In this issue, Melanie follows up with some real humdingers.

Top 10 Interviewing Definite Don'ts: The Follow Up Top 5
by Melanie Cambron

Thanks to all who responded to my Top 10. All I can say is "yikes!" I sifted through the pile and the "artistic goodies" submitted by Lee Marrs were just too good to leave in my in-box. They must have their moment in the sun. Thanks to Lee for Nos. 5-2, and for No.1, an all time favorite of mine that was suggested by many of you.

No. 5 Don't ask: "I don't have to always show up on time, do I?"

No. 4 Don't say: "I hope you aren't gonna make a big deal outta me continuing to free lance for [prime competitor]. I'm good at keeping secrets."

No. 3 Don't mention: "I'm really looking for an art director slot, but this gig will work great til I find one."

No. 2 Don't gesture to the company's widely installed workstation set up and proclaim "You're getting rid of this crap, aren't you? It's so yesterday!"  (So was he).

No. 1 Don't query: "I don't have to pee in a cup, do I?"
